Some weddings have champagne. Some have confetti.
This one had longbows and flying axes.
Last week, the Northern Realms crew had the absolute honour of bringing a storm of Norse energy to the stunning Curradine Barns in Worcester, where two absolute legends – Tom and Nikki – tied the knot in true Viking style.
From the moment we arrived, the vibe was set: mead, music, and mythology. Guests came dressed to raid or revel (often both), and the atmosphere was a glorious blend of celebration and saga.
We rolled in with our axe-throwing lanes and longbow archery range, giving the guests a chance to test their warrior spirit between drinks and dancing. And let’s just say… love wasn’t the only thing in the air – so were a lot of axes. (All safely thrown, of course.)
There’s something magical about seeing guests in furs and braids, laughing with a horn of ale in hand, while flinging steel at timber targets under the summer sky. It felt less like a wedding, and more like a feast straight out of a Skald’s tale.
Tom and Nikki were the perfect couple for such an epic setting – warm-hearted, wild-spirited, and clearly made for each other. It was an honour to be part of their day and add a little (okay, a lot) of Viking madness to their celebration.
To Tom and Nikki – may your love be as strong as Thor’s hammer, your laughter as loud as Loki’s tricks, and your bond unbreakable as a Valkyrie’s oath.
Skol to the happy couple!
