There is something special about working at the Royal Armouries. Surrounded by history, steel, and the spirit of the past, it is the perfect setting for what we do.

Over four incredible days at the Easter Joust tournament, Northern Realms delivered Viking axe throwing and spear throwing to thousands of visitors, and the response was nothing short of phenomenal.

By the end of the event, we had:

• Over 10,000 axes and spears thrown

• Over 1,200 stickers handed out

• Thousands of smiles, cheers, and unforgettable moments

From complete beginners to natural-born warriors, people of all ages stepped forward, picked up an axe or spear, and gave it their best. Some arrived cautiously, others charged in with confidence, but everyone left with a smile and a story to tell.

This is exactly what Northern Realms is all about.

Spear throwing quickly became a crowd favourite. There is something deeply satisfying about launching a spear toward a target, and it was not long before queues began forming.

A Fantastic Weekend With Great People

It was also brilliant to spend the weekend alongside our good friends at Tastes of History, sharing the atmosphere and excitement throughout the event.

We were also delighted to meet Sylvan Kin, whose blacksmithing demonstrations added another layer of authenticity and craftsmanship to the experience.
